Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Gardenproductsonline

Happy New Year

Here’s hoping Father Christmas will been kind to you all this Christmas. Have you been good?
A nice break from the normal routine will give some well-deserved time with family and friends.  We’ll have time to reflect on the past year and how we can achieve the best for the year ahead.
Last year we decided to grow our own vegetables which were a great success. We cultivated a small piece of the garden, planted vegetable seed potatoes, Onion Sets, Cauliflower, Radish, Lettuce, Beetroot, Carrots, Peas, Runner Beans and even Pumpkins. We even had a few Tomato’s and Strawberries.
All the family got involved digging and turning the soil in preparation for sowing the seed and then weeding when the seeds starting to germinate and watering the plants on the dry summer days.
We enjoyed a bountiful crop and it is true the taste was amazing. Unfortunately the birds had the strawberries and we think the ants had the peas.
We froze some of the veg and distributed some of the excess around family, friends and neighbours.
It was a satisfying year in our garden. The last pieces we harvested were the pumpkins which the kids enjoyed hollowing out and carving at Halloween.
When you look out now it looks sad with the remaining bits gone to seed and dying back but it won’t be long until we are out there again getting ready for the new season.

Will you be making any resolutions?

Wikipedia suggest some of the more popular goals include resolutions to:

·         Improve health: lose weight, exercise more, eat better, drink less alcohol, quit smoking
·         Improve finances: get out of debt, save money
·         Improve career: get a better job
·         Improve education: improve grades, get a better education, learn something new (such as a foreign language or music)
·         Improve self: become more organized, reduce stress, be less grumpy, manage time, be more independent, and perhaps watch less television
·         Take a trip
·         Volunteer to help others

Certainly I can agree with some of the above. How many of these sound like your resolutions and what have you got in mind for the New Year?.
Whatever your perspective and circumstance, Garden Products wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy, prosperous New Year.
